40 different garments were tested for 24 hours each by 3 independent testing laboratories to confirm the shielding effectiveness remained consistent for a full day. The shielding effectiveness exceeds the requirements specified by MIL-STD-285, IEEE 299 and Human RF exposure limits as set forth in FCC OET Bulletin 65.
A 6 month field test consisting of 100 participants was also conducted prior to announcing AegisGuard? LL Radiation Shields to test product performance and to ensure allergic or skin reactions did not occur. 18 of the participants claimed to suffer from the effects of electrosensitivity and 16 reported significant relief after using the product. There were no allergic or skin reactions reported by the participants or by any user since the product was announced in June, 2006.
Like all other AegisGuard? Radiation Shields, AegisGuard? LL Radiation Shields deflect radiation away from the user instead of absorbing it (for wireless products such as cell phones, the World Health Organization does not recommend the use of shielding products claiming to absorb radiation). Since radiation is deflected rather than absorbed, the saturation and seepage that normally occurs within a few minutes when using an absorption type shield does not occur.
