While the reason for the creation of hot spots can be simple or complex, avoiding the hot spots is always very simple. Most hot spots are small, so moving a bed or furniture just a couple of feet usually does the trick! Simply plug the included probe into the meter, turn it on, place the setting on H for high sensitivity, and the meter needle now is reading 0 to 5 in its display. Readings over 2 are high. When a headset is used with a cell phone, the radiation generated by the phone and the airborne radiation that surrounds everybody is transferred through the wire or plastic tube connecting the phone and earpiece and penetrates the head directly through the ear canal.
